Presentation of new MYP staff
We are thrilled to present the three additions to the MYP team this year. They have just started, but have already started to make an impact on us as a staff and the students. Please give them a warm welcome to the AIS family!
My name is Benard Weda. I am from Kenyan and I am the MYP Mathematics teacher at AIS. I have taught IB math program since 1999. I have worked in Kenya, Portugal and The Netherlands. I am an IB educator where I lead workshops for both MYP and Diploma program. I am an examiner for MYP and IB diploma SL math. I am very passionate about ensuring that students take control of their learning process and help them to appreciate the beauty of Mathematics. I am very happy to be part of AIS family.I enjoy listening to music, cooking and spending time with my family and friends.
My name is Agnes Otieno. I am an MYP assistant teacher for grade 7 and also SFO assistant teacher at AIS. I am from Kenya .Before coming to Norway I was in Netherlands for two years. I have taught Biology and General Science to high school students in Kenyan public schools. I enjoy cycling and sporting activities. I love listening to music and spending time with my family and friends. I am happy to be part of AIS family.
Mr. Ole Henrik Knutsen
My name is Ole-Henrik Knutsen and I teach MYP English (7, 8, 9, 10) and MYP Individuals and Society (7). I am Norwegian and from Arendal, but I have lived and studied in the United States and Sweden for several years. I have previously worked in Norway as well as International School Moshi, Tanzania. I enjoy politics, literature and traveling. I am currently covering for Mr. Ed Grimshaw while he is on paternity leave.
