After School Clubs
The After School Clubs have been created to give our older students (grade 7-10) opportunities for them to model life-long learning and circumstances that enable them to meet up after school in a social context. The selection of After School Clubs is constantly changing and we’ll update as soon as new clubs are starting up.
The clubs cost NOK 100 for a 10 week period except the math club which is a free club provided by the school.
At the moment we are running:
A club run by our MYP Mathematics teacher to give students extra opportunities to challenge themselves. The club runs every Monday at 14:15-15:00. Please contact Mr. Eric Oziegbe Omobude if you are interested in joining the club.
The club provides Grade 9 and 10 students an opportunity to boost their knowledge and skills to support their success in the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP). The focus of the club will be the content needed for entry into the IBDP in physics and chemistry. Students who decided to be part of the AIS Sciences club are expected to meet prepared for every single lesson. The class will not be assessed, but the students will be asked to read and prepare for each session.
The class will at least be partially taught using the concept of ‘Flipped lessons’ where students watch a preparation video at home and then spend most of the time in class applying and developing the knowledge explored in the video. This way the information delivery takes less of the valuable time as there is a very limited time available each week. Please contact Ms. Yvonne Neilson if you are interested in joining the club.
